The impact of operating a biogas generator set with an excessively small or large valve clearance

When the valve clearance of a biogas generator set is too small, although the noise is low, the valve may close loosely due to thermal expansion during operation, causing air leakage. This can also lead to overheating and ablation of the valve and valve seat ring, resulting in insufficient cylinder compression pressure and reducing the power of the biogas generator set. If the valve clearance is too large, it can cause the valve to open late and close early, which not only increases the operating noise of the biogas generator set but also leads to insufficient air intake and incomplete exhaust, resulting in overheating, reduced power, and increased fuel consumption of the biogas generator set.
